A Poem by Wolfgang Carstens

“Daddy,”

Raven says,

“Why
do you sit

fishing
for hours,

not catching
anything?”

“Honey,”

i say,

“do you
see

your mother
here?”

“No,”
she says.

“exactly,”

i say.
