The Center by John D Robinson

She told me I was
thoughtless, self-
centred and self-
indulgent and that
I thought the world
revolved around me:
I shook my head
and said
‘Are you trying to
tell me it doesn’t?’
she didn’t speak
again, packed her
clothes and made
it back to her
mother’s again
for a while.
