The crow lingers here still,
hovering horizon of
charcoal coated cloud;
Swallowing up the light
of hope’s glimmer.
I remain hopelessly adrift,
flighting spaces between
love and despair .
I taste the crushing
anguish of acrid air .
The blackness of void
bleeds from my heart.
