The Egyptian Wife by Jonathan Beale

Her ebony ways
From the hard streets
brought back.
Through streets of Cairo
The schooling picked
From here and there
As when.
The necessity as
She passed along
The Nile’s fertile banks.
Passing an eye
The hook was cast.
