Mean Streets by Christopher Barnes

King Richard III dawdled in Notting Hill.
Witching hour teddy boys threw malice on hooliganism.
Racists seized bludgeons, dismantled railings,
Weighted leather belts.
Caribbean windows rammed,
Petrol bombs scarred bricks, mortar.
Blood-lust – all too English.
